Kayla Dumont is a graduate from the University of Ottawa holding a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy. Prior to this, she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Physical Health and Education with a specialization in Health Promotion at Laurentian University. Kayla currently works with orthopaedic and pelvic health patients.
Kayla has gained experience while working with various varsity athletes competing in basketball, lacrosse as well as in football. She has obtained the knowledge necessary to assess and treat various injuries as well as their potential sequelae. Kayla will gladly address any aches and pains regardless of their sources of onset. With further training pelvic rehabilitation through Pelvic Health Solutions, she is able to work with both men and women in order to address issues such as pelvic pain, pre and post-partum progressions, incontinence, prolapse and the list goes on! By means of manual therapy, modalities as well as home exercise prescription, she will gladly work with you in order to optimize your recovery.
Kayla has supplementary training in acupuncture and manual therapy through the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute and the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She continues to advance her practice through continuing education, taking on new concepts in managing musculoskeletal and pelvic health conditions.
Kayla is a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, the Ontario Physiotherapy Association and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
